Jackson Middleton got his start in the mortgage industry in 2007 working for a national brokerage. However, being a serial entrepreneur, Jackson opened his own mortgage company in 2010 and became principal broker of Highland Mortgage Partners. Jackson has developed the online persona “The Kilted Broker” and is heavily involved in engaging clients, business partners and other industry professionals through use of social media. Jackson believes people should do business with people they know, like and trust and has developed a very transparent referral based business model. Realizing that this was a great compliment to First Foundation’s unique team underwriting approach, in early 2013, First Foundation finalized the acquisition of Highland Mortgage Partners and in early 2014, Jackson accepted a promotion to Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
